Miners Jr. A Lacrosse Club

History

The Edmonton Miners Lacrosse Club is a proud member of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League, the Alberta Lacrosse Association, the Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council and the Canadian Lacrosse Association.

The Edmonton Miners road to Junior A began in 1995 at the Junior “B” level with provincial championships from 1995 to 2002, with medal placing at Founder’s Cups in 5 of the 8 years, including gold in 1999.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of some of the members of the Miner’s Executive, we saw the formation of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League in 2002, with the first year of the Miners Junior “A” lacrosse program in 2003.

From 2003 to 2008, the Miners captured provincial Jr. A  gold, winning the right to represent Alberta at the Minto Cup.
